【Product Overview】
This is an exquisite square-shaped sake cup (Guinomi / Shuhai) created by the Kutani ware artist Horie Seiko (Kashu Seijo Kiln). The cup features a white porcelain body decorated with vibrant polychrome enamels in the traditional Kutani style (drawing inspiration from Ko-Kutani and Yoshidaya styles). Each side depicts a different scene from a "Bird and Flower" (Kacho-zu) motif, including a Heron standing by reeds, a bird in flight, and blooming flowers, all painted with delicate brushwork. The unique square form sets it apart from typical round cups. The bottom bears the traditional "Fuku" (Good Fortune) seal mark and the artist's signature "Seiko" in red. Includes the original signed wooden box (Tomobako) and a leaflet.
