【Product Overview】

This is a magnificent antique flat vase (Henko) marked with the name of Kutani Shoza, a renowned master who established the elaborate "Shoza style" of Kutani ware in the Meiji period. The vase features the "Saishiki Kinrande" (Colored Gold Brocade) style, characterized by detailed red line painting (Akae) and lavish gold decoration combined with colored enamels. The main panel depicts the traditional motif of "Sages under a Pine Tree" (Matsushita Kenjin), rendered with exquisite detail and fine brushwork that showcases the high skill of the artisan. The unique flat, moon-flask shape is adorned with golden animal-head handles on the sides. The bottom bears the signatures "Kutani" (九谷) and "Shoza" (庄三), along with the green square "Fuku" (Good Fortune) seal. With a height of 32 cm (12.6 inches), it is a stunning piece of art suitable for display in a formal setting or as part of a collection.

This item is an antique ceramic piece.

Visible crackle pattern (Kannyu) throughout the glaze, which is typical for ware of this age and style.
