【Product Overview】

This is an exquisite ceramic serving bowl (Kashi-bachi) created by Eiraku Wazen (the 12th generation Eiraku Zengoro), a master of Kyo-yaki (Kyoto ware) active during the late Edo to Meiji periods. The exterior is lavishly decorated with Gold depicting dynamic waves, interspersed with vibrant green Pine trees. This design, known as "Shoto-mon" (Pine waves), poetically compares the sound of wind blowing through pine trees to the sound of ocean waves, and is also an auspicious symbol of longevity and resilience. The interior is glazed in a clean white, perfect for presenting sweets or cuisine. The base bears the impressed seal of "Eiraku" (永楽).
