This is a beautiful matcha tea bowl made of Kofu ware (Ippou ware / Kitayama), a traditional pottery style from Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture. It features a rustic texture with a stunning dripping white glaze that adds a sophisticated layer to its organic appearance. The iron spots on the surface give it a unique character, making it comfortable to hold and allowing the green color of matcha to stand out beautifully. The base is stamped with the artist's signature. It is an unused item in excellent condition, complete with its original tomobako wood box and an explanatory leaflet.
