【Product Overview】
This is an antique wooden Natsume (tea caddy for matcha), crafted in the Wajima Lacquer (Wajima-nuri) style. The glossy black lacquer base is decorated with elegant Gold Makie depicting Dragonflies (Tonbo) and Butterflies. The Dragonfly is traditionally known as the "Victory Insect" (Kachimushi) in Japan because it flies only forward and never retreats, symbolizing courage, strength, and victory. This piece carries deep cultural symbolism and makes a meaningful addition to any tea ceremony collection. Includes a wooden box.
