【Product Overview】

This is a rustic "Hanging Flower Vase" (Kake-hanaire) made in the Mino Iga style, produced by the Motoyashiki Kiln (Mino Motoyashiki Gama). It mimics the robust and textured style of traditional Iga ware but is crafted in Mino. The shape is known as "Tabimakura" (Travel Pillow), a cylindrical form featuring a rich, glossy Amber Glaze (Ame-yu) that contrasts beautifully with the textured clay body. It has small lug handles at the top and a metal hook on the back for hanging on a wall or pillar in a tea room. Included is a wooden box inscribed with the kiln name (categorized as a storage box/ Awase-bako).
