【Product Overview】

This is a set of five exquisite Kutani Ware plates produced by the Shokakudo kiln. The design features the traditional "Aka-e" (Red painting) style highlighted with luxurious gold (Kinsai). The central motif depicts "Oshu Matsushima," one of the Three Views of Japan (Nihon Sankei). The scenery, including islands with pine trees, sailing boats, and pavilions, is rendered in incredibly fine, intricate red brushstrokes. The rim is bordered with detailed geometric patterns (Komon) and gold accents, framing the landscape beautifully. The underside is also decorated with hand-painted red patterns, and the bottom bears the maker's mark "Kutani Shokakudo Sei". With a diameter of 18.5cm (approx. 7.3 inches), these plates are suitable for serving food or for display. Includes a wooden box inscribed with the title.
