This is an Ofuke-yaki Mizusashi (water jar) created by the renowned Seto artisan, Kato Tozan. It features the characteristic transparent blue-green glaze of Ofuke ware, beautifully complemented by delicate stamped floral patterns (inka-mon) around the rim. The contrast between the cool glaze and the sleek black lacquer lid creates a dignified and refined presence, perfect for elevating any tea ceremony setting. The item is in "near unused" excellent condition and comes with its original wooden box and cloth, making it a valuable piece for both practice and collection.
