【Product Overview】

This is a beautiful antique Japanese porcelain plate, likely Old Imari (Ko-Imari) from the late Edo to Meiji period (19th century). It reflects the elegant Kakiemon Style with its use of bright enamel colors (red, green, blue, gold) on a white background. The central motif depicts a bundle of brushwood (Shibataba) used as a flower holder for seasonal plants, a traditional poetic design, accompanied by fluttering Butterflies. The rim features a geometric "Thunder Pattern" (Raimon) border and has a scalloped flower shape (Rinka). The underside is decorated with blue scroll patterns. It is perfect for use as a decorative display plate or for serving Japanese cuisine (Kaiseki).
