【Product Overview】

This is a traditional Shino Ware (Shino-yaki) tea bowl, created by the Shuzan Kiln (Shuzan-gama) in Mino, Gifu Prefecture. This kiln is distinguished by having dedicated pottery to the Meiji Jingu Shrine. The bowl is coated with a thick, milky-white feldspar glaze, characteristic of Shino ware. It features beautiful faint reddish-brown scorch marks (Hi-iro or fire color) and a textured surface known as "Yuzuhada" (citrus skin), created by small pinholes in the glaze during firing. Its rustic and warm appearance makes it perfect for daily tea practice or casual enjoyment of Matcha. Includes the original wooden box (Tomobako) and a kiln leaflet.
