【Product Overview】
This is a prestigious bronze incense burner (Koro) created by the Takaoka copperware artist Eisui. It prominently features the 16-petal Chrysanthemum Crest (Imperial Seal) in gold inlay on the front, indicating that this piece was likely an Imperial Gift (Gokashihin) or a commemorative item from the Japanese Imperial Family. The burner has a dignified hexagonal shape with handles modeled after Elephant heads and a lid knob shaped like a Lion (Shishi). The body is intricately cast with relief patterns of Iris flowers (Shobu) and scrollwork. The artist's mark "Eisui" (栄翠) is stamped on the bottom. Includes the original signed wooden box (Tomobako) and a leaflet from Zuihodo.
